Terms of Service
Effective date: 7 April 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Lysa Health application and services. By downloading, installing, or using Lysa, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
Lysa is not a medical device, medical application, or healthcare provider. The content, features, and any AI-generated guidance within Lysa — including symptom information, nutritional estimates, dose calculations, and any other health-related content — are provided for informational and tracking purposes only.
Nothing in Lysa constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and it should not be relied upon as such. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional — including your prescribing clinician — before making any decisions about your medication, diet, or health.
In an emergency, call your local emergency services (e.g., 999 in the UK, 911 in the US) immediately. Do not rely on Lysa in any emergency situation.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, downloading, or otherwise using the Lysa Health application ("App") or the Lysa Health website ("Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lysa Health. If you are using Lysa on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Description of service
Lysa is a personal health tracking application designed for adults using GLP-1 medications (including but not limited to Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, and compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide). The App provides tools to:
- Log and visualise weight progress over time
- Track daily nutrition including protein, calories, and water intake
- Record GLP-1 injection details including date, dose, site, and side
- Monitor and log symptoms and their severity
- Calculate pen clicks, syringe units, and cost per dose as an educational reference
- Access AI-powered nutritional analysis and symptom guidance (Pro subscribers)
Lysa is a tracking and reference tool only. It does not provide clinical monitoring, real-time health alerts, emergency notifications, or integration with any healthcare systems or electronic health records.
3. Medical disclaimer and limitations
By using Lysa, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to all of the following:
- Not medical advice: All content within the App, including AI-generated responses, dose calculations, symptom guidance, nutritional estimates, and any other health-related information, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Consult your clinician: You must always consult your prescribing clinician or qualified healthcare professional before changing your medication dose, injection schedule, or any aspect of your medical treatment.
- Dose calculator is for reference only: The dose calculator feature provides educational reference information about GLP-1 medications. It is not a substitute for instructions from your prescribing clinician or the medication's official prescribing information. Lysa Health is not responsible for any errors in dose calculations or for any actions you take based on calculator outputs.
- AI outputs are estimates: AI-generated nutritional estimates and symptom guidance are based on general information and your inputs. They are not medically validated and may be inaccurate. Do not make clinical decisions based on AI outputs.
- Nutrition estimates are approximate: Nutritional data provided (protein, calories) is estimated and may not reflect the actual nutritional content of your meals.
- Emergency disclaimer: Lysa is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately (999 in the UK, 911 in the US). Do not use Lysa in any emergency situation.
- No clinical validation: Lysa has not been reviewed or approved by any medical regulatory body, including the MHRA (UK), FDA (US), or CE marking authority.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Lysa. GLP-1 medications are prescribed to adults, and Lysa is designed exclusively for adult users. By using the App, you represent that you are 18 or older. If we discover a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.
You must also be legally permitted to enter into binding contracts in your jurisdiction.
5. Account registration and security
To use Lysa, you must create an account using your email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information when registering
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party
- Notify us immediately at support@lysahealth.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
6. Subscriptions and billing
6.1 Free tier
Lysa is available at no charge with core tracking features including weight logging, injection tracking, manual meal logging, symptom logging, and the dose calculator.
6.2 Lysa Health Pro subscription
Lysa Health Pro is a paid monthly subscription that unlocks AI-powered features including photo and text meal analysis, AI symptom guidance, and GP report generation. The current price is displayed within the App and on the website at the time of purchase.
6.3 Billing and payment
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account upon purchase confirmation.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings or Google Play account at any time.
- We do not process payments directly and do not store your payment card details.
6.4 Refunds
All subscription purchases are made through Apple or Google and are subject to their respective refund policies. Refund requests must be directed to Apple (via reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (via play.google.com/store/account).Lysa Health cannot directly issue refunds for App Store or Google Play purchases.
6.5 Price changes
We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change. Your continued subscription after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lysa for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Use automated tools to access or scrape the service
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or any content intended to disrupt the service
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the service to provide medical advice to others
- Share your account credentials with others
8. AI features (Pro)
Pro subscribers have access to AI-powered features including meal analysis (photo and text) and symptom guidance. By using these features, you acknowledge:
- AI outputs are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a clinician before delivery to you.
- Nutritional estimates may vary significantly from actual values.
- Symptom guidance is general in nature and does not account for your complete medical history.
- You must not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional medical advice.
- AI features are limited to a reasonable number of analyses per month as stated in the App.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue AI features with reasonable notice.
9. Intellectual property
The Lysa application, website, brand, logo, design, text, and all content are owned by Lysa Health and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Lysa for your personal, non-commercial use only.
Your data: You retain ownership of all personal data and health logs you enter into Lysa. You grant us a limited licence to process your data as necessary to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Lysa service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses
- Warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, including AI outputs and dose calculations
- Warranties that the service will meet your specific requirements
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law under England and Wales.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lysa Health shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Any harm arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, dose calculations, nutritional estimates, or symptom guidance
- Any medical harm, adverse events, or health outcomes arising from use of the App
- Interruption or cessation of the service
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lysa Health and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your reliance on any content in the App as medical advice
13. Termination
By you
You may stop using Lysa and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account cancels your access to the service but does not automatically cancel your subscription billing — you must cancel that through Apple or Google separately.
By us
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to other users or Lysa Health.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 3, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of these Terms survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Lysa shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or Northern Ireland, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and EU statutory consumer protection rights that cannot be excluded by contract will continue to apply.
Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@lysahealth.app to resolve disputes informally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our service, or our business practices. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a prominent notice in the App at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Lysa after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must stop using the service.
